Microscopy News

New tutorials section: In response to several requests we have added a tutorials section to the website to address protocol questions. Topics recently addressed include colocalization, FRET, and live cell imaging. Check back regularly for guides on other microscopy techniques.

Obrien Center: NIH funding to continue the George M. O'Brien Center for Advanced Renal Microscopic Analysis has been approved. The center is dedicated to developing novel imaging techniques and providing services to other renal researchers.

Shared Equipment Grant: The shared instrumentation grant to replace the Biorad confocal/multiphoton system with a new Olympus Flourview 1000 confocal/ multiphoton microscope has been funded. The new system will provide significantly improved imaging capabilities for facility users.
